tecktonik



I know this Tecktonik thing has been going on for most of 2007, but still I can't stop being fascinated by it all. I love how these suburb guys (for you americans, european suburbs are a tad bit more ghetto than your desperate housewife ones) just randomly dance Tecktonik in the street or in the subway or wherever. I see boys dancing it almost every time i go "into town", and I kindof like it. I think it's funny how these bad boys are dancing this dance that looks like a mix of disco, rave and vogue. Heh. It's in *all* the new music videos these days though, and that's kindof lame.

I don't know. Maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about. I'll embed some videos so you can see for yourself.

I know exactly what you're talking about, although I think it's a distinctly French thing for now (I might be wrong there, I haven't actually done any research.) Did you by chance make it to the Techno Parade in late September at the Bastille? It was basically a Techtonik glory party at 10am in the morning.

i exactly know what you are talking about. i also like these dancers a lot. my favourite ones are the three "YELLE"-guys. i also found them already on youtube. and i'm not only fascinated by their moves, but i also like the song a lot. i hope these vids may become more and more popular, so that we see more and more guys dancing und threwing their arms and legs to the beat of the music - even here in germany. ;)

A cause de garcons!! I love that song. And the dancing is amazing.

People do this randomly in public in Paris!? Lol. You'd never see that in West Yorkshire XD Which we probably should, because it'd warm us up.

I don't know man... my neighborhood is pretty ghetto and there aren't any desperate housewives around. Just a lot of thugs that park their cars in the middle of the street and fight in front of my house. I wish they would dance, that would actually be entertaining.

Hehe, I too am intrigued by this dancing. I have been interested in this for years. In the late 90's and early 00's, the ravers would do that liquid dancing thing, which was similar.

And for the record, I have been dancing like this for years, but was outcast for it. Once again, my perceived nerdiness is once again pop culture before its time :P
