I'm back from Norway. It was coooold! Nice to be there again and see people again, but I prefer hot Paris ^_^

There's a problem with our internet connection since we got back though. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Until then we are borrowing wifi from a friend :P I don't know if they have this system in other countries, but here the internet boxes all have a part set aside for wifi needers in the area. Like... we use Neuf... and if we are out and about somewhere we can borrow a part of someone else's neuf wifi if we login with our password and id. Am I making sense? :P

NO SHIT! Maybe that's because it's Norway.

And yes every country uses that wireless Internet system lol!!

Not every conuntry uses that system.
I live in les Etats-Unis, we definitely don't have those here.

But, it sounds like it's convenient!

what he was referring to was having the ability to log on to someone wireless that is not your own. We have wireless but not roaming usage.

Most people here in American are using WiFi rooters at home. They just send out a signal so anyone in the house can connect. Kids love it because they can be in their room and get a signal. All the new laptops come with built-in wireless cards. I use a hard connection for my desk top but send WiFi out to my laptop downstairs by the piano. Now, I can receive about 5 or 6 WiFi signals at my house coming from the neighbors but most are password protected.

Where can I purchase this WiFi rooter? It sounds hot, if you're an Australian. Otherwise, maybe it's just a router.

Ok, my error it is spelled Router. I have a Linksys Model WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router with a 4-port switch. You can connect 4 Ethernet hard cables to the Router and it also sends out the WiFi signal. So, basically you connect your modem from your ISP internet service provider to the Router first. Then all connects to your computers are made at the Router. You control the settings to the Router on your computer. This unit is a few years old and there are newer versions on the market today.

That's a shame. I'll keep looking for a good rooter anyway.

I wasn't talking about just the consept of wifi, I was talking about being able to borrow a part of someone's password protected connection :)

Typically when we lose wireless in the apartment... I just borrow from the neighbors if their network is unsecured... or I take it as a great opportunity to disconnect from the world

Right? Things suddenly get done so much faster...

Yes the whole thing with this is rather annoying from country to country :/
By the way,was the photoshooting with Alan performed in Rue Raymond Du Lossserand,Bretagne Montparnesse? Because the place seems familiar ^^

i really want/like your camera? :( i'm a bit jealous to be quite honest
21st-Sep-2009 12:31 am (UTC)
I don't think it's the camera you should be jealous of so much as it is the photographer. The camera is just a tool. No tool will produce the quality of work you'll find here, without an amazing craftsman.
