b/c most of the puritans left, leaving behind the more liberal thinkers. that's how come, we had withc hunts, and they didn't why we're censored and they aren't, why we're so behind when it comes to gay rights.

cause naked people have cooties. Duh.

I don't think it's a bad thing, actually. :P I'm not scared of the naked body or anything (and went to art school where students were expected to draw the naked form with live models, and it didn't bother me at all), but I also don't wish to see most people naked. Some things should be left to the imagination more often than not, or should be pushed as far away from the imagination as possible, depending upon the subject. Sure, the human body can be beautiful, but shove it in one's face too often and from too many angles (and from too many people) and it can lose its mystique, which created much tension and appeal in the first place.

Ideally, yes, what she said.

Nakedness when it is part of the larger context of what I am watching is okay.

But then in the US, it must always be done to the extreme...take Queer As Folk for example. They have nakedness for the shock value of it, to get higher ratings. Because the US markets typically use nakedness at the expense of plot development or the story, I am kinda glad they don't do that in the US.

But when US producers and media person begin to behave more like adults, then I would protest their puritanical ways ;)

I dunno, don't see the point really we all look pretty much the same under our clothing.
