My computer has been acting up ever since I ran those checks a few days back. IE and Firefox magically started working again, but now I have other problems. For some reason running that spyware check caused me to get a lot more popups in IE. And I don't even use IE! It just starts itself. Spybot is obviously of no help here... Does anyone know of a good pop up killer for IE?

first of all, DO NOT USE IE!

Second, I don't know what spyware you ran, but get rid of it!

Go to www.download.com: search for AVG ("Free") (don't put "free" in your search). Down load it.Save it to a file in MY Documents and leave it there for now.

Then search for "spybot" download it. update it. install it. select the two options to also install tea timer and And the other one (I forgot what it is called)

Now go to the folder where you stored AVG "free" and install it. update it. Run it. After you run that, then run your spybot. ( it really doesn't matter the order in which you run it or down load them. This was just easier for me)

Oh yea. After you get that stuff DL and updated and b 4 you run them, unplug your computer from the internet and uninstall what ever you were previously using. These are teh ONly PROGRAMS YOU WILL EVER NEED TO KEEP YOUR COMPUTER VIRUS, SPYWARE AND MAL WARE FREE. AND it didn't cost you anything. The advice is free too!
