Today we had the last viewing of my father at a chapel at the hospital. He had changed a lot in appearance, but it wasn't all that bad. It was nice to see him again. I got some time alone with him before we left, and it felt really good after that. It's weird though...from now on noone he knows will touch him again. Ever...

You capture a moment well. You have had me emotional over this and I almost feel like I am peeking into private moments with your family. I cry with you. Love and Light ~Shana

Well it is private I guess, but my Dad was so open about it that it sortof feels natural for me to be as well.

Who's the girl with the green hair? I like it... and her Tool hoodie. :D
7th-Sep-2006 12:56 pm (UTC)
That's Eline. I think she made the hoodie herself. Well, at least the TOOL parts.

I am. Grief is so weird....I never imagined it to be so full of good things, and not just sadness.

I was out of town with the Tower peeps and I missed the news. I cried for your loss and I'm sorry for you and your family, but I am glad that your father had a peaceful passing with your family present and that you had a proper chance to say your goodbyes. *huggles*
This weekend, Yelenia and I were talking about you and your family. We were saying how it's sad that your father was sick, but how lucky all of ya'll are together with the love and support you have.
We love you and were thinking of you this weekend, even though we didn't know yet that you needed it.

Much love and many warm thoughts to you and yours.

those bracelets are going to tie you guys together :) did your sis get one too? i'm guessing she did, but her sweater would hide it.
markus, your bro looks pretty tense/strained in a couple of those pics. that's hardly surprising, if he is, given where you were and the finality of the whole thing. but make sure he talks about his feelings and lets it All out, anger and frustration too, whatever is there, because now is the best time to let go, rather than suppress any of the confusion of emotions that death can bring. you too!
in the end, you are all going to be stronger, and tighter, for having gone through this together.
