i suggest you to start "Showbiz DVD" it's quite cool, not so cool as Imovie HD, but you have got a PC so don't pretend too much :D
or also adobe premiere, that is a professional program for video editing, something like Final Cut Pro for Mac :)

well I downloaded from e-mule Adobe Premiere Pro V2 just in order to try it.. I'll buy it someday.. (jejej) I didn't know a thing about editing videos... I just wanted to put some stuff together about my life in Barcelona to send to my family... but I found out that it is so simple to use and I started enjoying so much... that I did this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NR_0gm1SaI It's not a pro anything.. but I did it without knowing anything about the software... so I guess it could be the best option if you have no idea of editing... I use a PC and it's not a new one, so I guess it could be run on any computer... Have fun !!! :)

it's not the greatest, but it works for small stuff... windows has a built in one - windows movie maker. it should be under accessories.
