hey elaine!

Hey Elaine! I planted a bunch of your seeds last wednesday and they are already sprouting and then some. They are all hidden away in the corner behind the computer because i didn't want them stretching towards the windows. This is fun and I love that your seeds are growing here beside me.

Anyone who wants to can still send other seeds for me to plant too :)

Anyways, I realised I forgot to write about something that happened on our way to the Alps two weeks ago. We were taking the speed train to Lyon and then a slower one from there to the mountains. So we get on the train and speed along southwards. It's actually really smooth and comfortable and I hope these kinds of rails/trains spread throughout Europe fast. So much better than flying! I think we were about 45 minutes or something from Lyon when we hear this crunching sound and feel the train running over something on the rails. At the time I just assumed it was some branches because that was what it felt like. But no no no, it was a human body! That crunching sound and the thing we felt being crushed under the train was some guy offing himself. Definately strange to think about... I guess the impact of a very very fast train and a body is kindof powerful in itself too because they said some windows were broken in first class. So yeah the train stopped of course, and we had to wait three hours for someone new to drive the train (they don't let you drive it further after stuff like this. makes sense i guess.). And that was my little story of today.

They are wheat seeds and yeah I think they are the ones that people use for cat food :)

A human body :O
For some weird freaky reason the underground line I use to get to my university is the one people tend to use for..um...suicidal purposes.
Which means everytime the train stops & the speakers go "The train will remain here for the next 30 minutes due to *cough* events we have absolutely nothing to do with!!" I'm slightly weirded out.

And well it's hardly a very considerate thing to do. They can jump of a bridge instead I think.

Unfortunately, I've had the same experience a couple of times over the year. The worst was watching a woman jump under a train as it was pulling into the station. As if that wasn't bad enough, people's reaction to the event was worse -- like it was some reality TV show. :-(

Yeah that doesn't sound very nice :/

Oh my goodness, that reminds me of the time this girl was late to class once because this bloke threw himself in front of the tracks.

But to actually be in that train :|

lol @ Chikorita, it's too cute

Yeah really...

That is horrible and sad. Individuals should off themselves efficiently though with a gun and a bullet, or pills. Trains get the job done but why experience so much pain? Just go to sleep and never wake up...I don't understand these things.

It's not easy I guess.

my dad drives trains, and hes had only a close call...with an animal, but hes known some engineers who it happened too. once as the train was pulling in this person jumped in-front of the train...the poor people on the platform.
i believe the saddest i heard was when a man had killed him self on christmas eve.
its just terrible

I guess it is somethig you have to be prepared for in that kind of job, no? Terrible, but...
