so very nice evening tonight
20th-Jul-2008 03:36 am

I really feel lucky with my friends here. Thank you Ikuko, Sayako :)

The Polish boy's name is Pawel, and he is very nice :)

I don't know if you who have been reading for a while have noticed, but I have been in France for a year now and my English has gotten so much worse. Mostly my grammar, but my accent as well. I guess it is because it's not my mother tongue and it is not really rooted well in any one style.

I really don't mind though. I can make myself understood very well I think :)

Maybe you should practice your English more often! Cute picture by the way~

I practice it every day. It's just that I practice it with French. And Japanese. And these sort of people :P

Hahaha, I can't even imagine that. Where I live, our English is often mixed with Spanish and it's pretty funny.

Where I live it's mixed in with the drunken garbled speech of Northern England :D

Your English is better than people's I know here in America
21st-Jul-2008 12:15 am (UTC)
It was better one year ago ;)
20th-Jul-2008 04:02 am (UTC)
well you definitely write in better English than tons of Americans i know, so that's cool.

as for your speaking voice, eh. you're obviously a very cultured and refined sort of dude, so as long as you are understood, i think it's cool that you have a heavy accent.

i would love to have a French and Japanese friend. i'm very homogenized right now.

20th-Jul-2008 01:15 pm (UTC)
Well your english is still quiet adequate to easily understand what your saying, or at least typing. :) Have you mastered French yet?
21st-Jul-2008 12:21 am (UTC)
Non :P
20th-Jul-2008 02:19 pm (UTC)
Oh boy!You´re very handsome!:)
21st-Jul-2008 12:22 am (UTC)
Oh boy! Thank you! :)
20th-Jul-2008 02:32 pm (UTC)
the nice thing about english or french is that it's definitely not a "use it or lose it" language. i am positive that if i went back to france and made some friends, i would be speaking semi-fluently again in a matter of weeks. the same does not go for my chinese. god, i would need to seriously put my nose to the grindstone if i wanted to pick that up and be at a decent level again. what you need is just one native english speaker. i'm sure you can find a native brit, american, canadian, etc., hanging around paris! :)
21st-Jul-2008 12:22 am (UTC)
Yes I think I would have to put everything on the grindstone for me to learn Chinese :P
20th-Jul-2008 03:14 pm (UTC)
cute pic...

and you sound more advanced with the english language than most americans I live around...

so, no worries! lol
21st-Jul-2008 12:23 am (UTC)
thanks :)
20th-Jul-2008 03:41 pm (UTC)
I really don't mind though. I can make myself understood very well I think :)

Yes you can :)
21st-Jul-2008 12:23 am (UTC)
:)
20th-Jul-2008 07:53 pm (UTC)
I think you'd do well in any language, Markus.
21st-Jul-2008 12:23 am (UTC)
What does that mean? :p
21st-Jul-2008 12:01 pm (UTC)
your Written english seems as good as it ever was, markus.
accents come and go. when you leave france (IF you leave france) you will start to speak with a german, moroccan, polish, wherever-you-go accent... until you move again.
the important thing is that you started with an extremely high standard of english. it's hard to lose that fundamental control of a language.
so bon chance and que sera sera...
basically, i agree with all the people who say ur arse is beautiful, so who cares what accent you have? you really have nothing to worry about :)
