Thanks so much for sharing these photos- they really make me think of my trip to Kyoto many years ago, and make me remember how amazingly beautiful of a city it was, and...
I may have to go back in 2009, curse you! ;)

Yeah! Some amazing things...

I'm not sure if I will return to Kyoto though. These temples are cool, but there are other places in Japan you can have the same sort of thing without all the tourists. Kyoto somehow lacks part of the atmosphere I love from the rest of Japan.

Thanks for sharing Markus :)

It looks like a dream world, like ukiyo-e in real life.

Since I saw this while answering Markus' comment to me: I have to agree, having been there. Kyoto does have this ukiyo-e rendered in three dimensions quality to it.

I like temples so I clicked. I wasn't disappointed. Thanks!

I like many of them... because of the light, composition, atmosphere, colors bla bla bla you already know
but the one I like the most is the 3 student girls in their uniforms... two abused topics together... is too much...
They are like clones, standing in the same position!!!

Thank you! I'm happy you like :)

Pretty brave of you to get that close to a giant hornet... I hear they're incredibly aggressive and can fuck your day up.

ok -- I don't understand the camel toe shoes... BUT I LOVE the old school micro van - Something about Japanese automotive style... is that it doesn't have to change, just to be new. Towards the top, you have a picture of an intersection, and the lil red car looks like it belongs in the '60s UK, and it's probably less than 4 years old. Brilliant, these are bits of Japan that no one gets to see.. Thank you :)

I love the camel toe shoes. I'd like to have trainers like that...

And yes I love the cars there :)

that Joshin van is the greatest ever. also, your shots! so cold and peaceful. :)

They have a lot of vans like that over there. They are like regular ones, but...shrunk...

Thank you :D
