so it's all going to shit these days

I hope all my Aussie friends are OK with the big fires going about down there. So awful! Hope you have all your friends and family safe...

Lots of people have been tragically dying lately. None close to me, but close enough for me to feel for them and bring back memories of my dad (who died a couple of years ago) and that whole situation. As we say back home: Hoff å læll!

AND: It sounds stupid and little compared to all these people dying, but the thing that really ruined my day today was when I managed to step on this big glass plate and break it. So stupiiid! We're sortof doing a big cleaning/reorganising in the apartment and this plate was lying there for a while. I knew it was there, and I had reminded myself of it and Sam had reminded me of it but still I had to step just there. So fucking stupid. Big glass plates are expensive and now we have to scrap some plans we had just because of that.

Well at least I have Spotify. If you are in Western Europe you should really fucking get Spotify, it is so brilliant. So easy! I'm listening to the new Lily Allen album now.

Sorry for this blah blah blah post. I know these entries are boring.

Peace out etc...

You think sometimes your having a bad day until the evening news comes on and you see all the other real problems going on in the world. The fires in Australia are devistating and horrible to think they were started intentionally. Imaging flying to NYC for a job interview at a hospital and then wind up standing on a wing of a plane floating in the Hudson two hours later...that's a bad day and it happened to a close friend of my niece going to med school in Florida. I'm kind of depressed about a lot of things lately so in a weird way it is kind of nice to hear your having a bad day too...so I don't feel so alone in my sadness. Sorry for being so weird bro.

As long as you didn't cut your foot. That would have been nasty. Still, I know how those things can ruin your day.

Haha yes that would have been lovely...

thanks for the aussie well wishes Markus.. i think we're feeling it as a nation here it's so upsetting.
And pooo for the glass plate. I have done stuff like that before too, it's just the bit to top it off.

I'm a long way from the fires ... as are all my family.

20,000 people have registered to become new blood donors since Sunday ... apparently, they get 1,500 new donors on average per month. And the Red Cross's the fund raising was getting a million AU dollars an hour yesterday. Which is awesome.

Your thoughts are very much appreciated. *hugs*

Just out of interest, why do you need a big glass plate? o.O

Could you not just do without or buy a cheaper alternative?

it's for a big bird cage, an old one we wanted to use again...

Thanks for the thoughts to Aussie. In Sydney we are as shocked as anyone, and when you smell smoke from various distant fires it makes you stop and think some more. Some dead shit preacher said the fires were because God does not like abortion. More proof religion can be VERY weird at times.
