Here is my second attempt at shooting with film. Color this time! So much better. I usually always prefer color to B&W, so I was excited to try. The developing went a lot more smoothly as well, but that's thanks to Laurent.

Some of these were just taken to see how the colors would turn out, but I still like them all.

Very nice, please don't give up on film.
I still prefer it, although the subtleties may not be apparent on a computer monitor.

And all monitors are different...

But even, it is obviously different.

I like the atmosphere film generates... nostalgic, I like this contrast
I don' know if it's the grain, the focus... or what the hell :o

The color of that car is just amazing!
I love the washed-out-pastel type style of it.

Do you find the focusing with film different than from digital? I find I need to work a bit more with film than digital when I focus, but the win is so much more thrilling!
2nd-Mar-2009 02:08 pm (UTC)
Well yes, as it is not automatic :P
28th-Feb-2009 09:26 am (UTC)
Well done, Markus!
The biggest difference is obviously that you used a 6x6 camera and lenses so the depth of focus is quite different to a 35mm camera! And the picture gets a much deeper scale of colours...
I always love to work with my old 6x6 Rollei camera although it's really much more time, work and money to spend. And I love the darkroom work.

Not just the depth... the soft light and the popping colors. It's all different I think.
