I was looking over my photos from Amsterdam, and it just made me go "MEH". Not very good at all! Well I shouldn't say that I guess...sometimes I feel that way and when I post them people are falling over telling me how cool they are. So yeah I didn't edit anything yet, but at least I should write a little before it fades from memory.

Things I remembered (I went once for a day when i was 17) that were still true:

- Boys wear A LOT of hair product.
- Dutch people love bikes. Especially the old shitty kind that noone will want to steal.
- Dutch people love fast food.
- They put ice cream sprinkles on their sandwiches.
- They love house music way too much.

Things I noticed this time:

- It's so small! It felt even smaller than Stockholm.
- The trams are SLOW. Sometimes you can almost walk beside them. They are cute though!
- They have a new extreme right leader guy and this one looks really fucking creepy.

But yes, I had a good time! Mostly chilling with my friend, walking around here and there. Those of you who watch my twitter (twitter.com/siphotwit) could follow my first time ever being high. I didn't smoke, but I had a "space cake" :P

Yes I like it! I'm more amused than annoyed by the things I mentioned :P

When I was in Amsterdam in 1998 for the gay games it was like a gay paradise (even the garbage cans had rainbow flags on it...)
Then I went 3 years ago. And things have changed a lot. I was there to work on a documentary film about hate crimes on gays and the right wing tendencies - it's called "Rainbow's End" (http://cart.frameline.org/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=T648). Gay couples were attacked in their neighborhood by arab youth and / or right rowdies...
But it's still a wonderful peaceful city.
p.s. just heard in the news about the murder of two homosexuals ( a girl and a boy were shot down by a masked guy. And 11 other were injured.) in a gay bar in Tel Aviv!!! The police said it was a hate crime and that he escaped...
All this fucking "right wing leaders" and fundamentalist should be punished for what they do to peoples minds!

Haha, I read the getting high thing on twitter. You're probably your own worst critic; everyone always thinks their own work is no good when others see it as beautiful. That's just how it is.
