Not to dance, but to watch and do photos. Ikuko and Chika are doing amateur classes, and that time they did this one with Jun. He is higher level, he is professional dancer, but it seems it doesn't matter much. It is more about the need to keep training and dancing to keep it well in his body. The studio was nice, it is in an alley behind Moulin Rouge in Pigalle. And the teacher was really cool as well, you can see him in a couple of the shots. He is more than 80 years old, can you believe it? :O

Secondly, I am bringing a little discussion from twitter onto here. I asked in a tweet a couple of days ago about how come American wives and girlfriends always complain about guys leaving the toilet seat up after they pee. It's my impression from tv shows and movies that they are always mad about this and taking out the trash. Taking out the trash is logical because, well, you have to get rid of it. But what is so rude about leaving the toilet seat up? Many replied, but nobody really had a good explanation for it other than women likes to be bossy etc. I even googled it and the highest rated answer on Yahoo Answers was a woman talking about high risk of women falling into the toilet, people dropping all sorts of things in it, and even babies drowning it it o_o. I think the only times I have ever dropped anything into the toilet has been while I have been using it. So I still don't understand it. I guess it is a nice gesture to prepare it for who comes after, but then it would be just as nice for the women to leave it up. I don't know! Please educate me, especially if you are an American woman! :)

I dunno, but maybe it has to do with the fact that everyone has to use it with the seat down on occasion, but only men use it with the seat up? There's at least a chance that whoever approaches'll use it with the seat down, whereas if a woman needs to use it, and it's up, she always has to put it down.

And I have accidentally sat down when it's up - it's easier to fall 'in' than you might think, especially when you aren't expecting it.

I was always under the impression that it's polite to put it down after using it.

Yes boys need to sit sometimes too, but I wasn't sure if that would be considered reason enough.

If you fall in the toilet it is 100% your own mistake in my opinion :P
5th-Apr-2011 02:10 pm (UTC) - I think they just want to touch the seat
and who would? in public bathrooms I use my feat to put it up and flush. haha

you can just put some paper :)

In my mind, it's two fold. One: the grossness issue. When guys pee, not everything gets into the bowl of the toilet. Hence the gross layer of pee splash and other items on the rim. When the toilet seat is put down again, it looks much prettier. Otherwise, you'd have to clean it like, daily. Course, if the guy wiped the rim when he was done that would also work...but we all know how likely that is to NOT happen. :p and
Two: falling in. When it's 3am and you have to pee but don't look before you sit, it's a horrible shock. And if you've never done it, you cannot even begin to understand. LOL. Seriously, I still have nightmares....

P.S. I <3 these images. The second to the last one is my favorite.

Thank you! ^__^

Like I told Mellyn, if you fall in the toilet it is your own fault :P

Im a male and i always pee with the seat down and I never splash. I don't exactly see the big problem either. It just seems ridiculous to me. Up down up down, really?

Exactly :)

It is not the lid that is the issue, but the seat (most US residential toilets have both a lid and a seat). The usual complaint by women regarding the seat is that men are too lazy to raise the seat when they pee and therefore end up peeing on the seat. Of course women could raise the seat when they are done, but then there would be nothing to complain about!

Actually I don't think I mentioned the lid at all ;)

Oh my god his buttocks. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Did he like Slovakia btw?

Also I thought the toilet seat thing was a Universal problem, they even have it in Canada! I think it's something like the standard position for the toilet seat should be down.

I don't think he liked it all that much. He only stayed there a few months :P

Beautiful pictures, Markus, and you already know my explanation of the seat ;) Seems people do fall in lol

Gorgeous photos Markus. I wonder how Degas would depict modern day dancers?

I know I'm late to the discussion, but as a male that has had female roommates over the years, A toilet has a lid. Everyone close the lid after use...then it's fair for everyone.

Too easy?...LOL
